The Annual General Meeting was held on 12 May 2022. General Members were present along with the Board of Directors and representatives of the Ministry of Community Development.

The plans for the association were presented to members as part of the reestablishment of the association with a Ministerial decree. The plans included the structure of the organization, and the goals and objectives 2022-2024. The financial plan was presented, as well, and Deloitte was approved as the appointed auditor of the association.

The association also approved the new branding and change of the name from UAE Shipping Association to Emirates Shipping Association.
